GLEN BURNIE, MD (September 6, 2016) – On the heels of celebrating 10 years of business and growing to the 6th largest home improvement company, Window Nation, one of the countries leading window replacement companies, has been recognized for its corporate culture. Specifically, the company, founded by brothers Harley and Aaron Magden, was awarded the 2016 Baltimore Corporate Culture Award by SmartCEO magazine.

According to the magazine, The Corporate Culture Awards program honors companies that foster a creative, collaborative workplace culture to enhance performance and sustain a competitive advantage. Corporate Culture Awards winners have championed for a positive, productive culture in their organization, and work with employees to develop successful cultural practices.

“We believe in doing well by doing good,” explains Harley Magden. “It’s no accident how we got here. We have worked very hard and have an amazing team that believes in our mission and our approach.”

The culture has been shaped by Window Nation’s core values, which were formulated by a cross section of its employees. With eight offices across five states, Window Nation now employs 225 people.

“The values that have been established are guiding principles that our employees strive to live by every day—have high energy and be driven, take care of people, expect results, do the right thing, never settle, make a difference and work together,” adds Aaron Magden.

Every employee all the way up to Harley and Aaron, live Window Nation’s seven core values each and every day. They are used to guide every decision, from which office supplies to buy, to hiring, to market expansion and product offerings all the way to customer service

Sticking true to their Midwestern roots, the Magden brothers have a desire to help others and put the customer first. The core value of “making a difference” is supported by the multitude of philanthropic efforts put in place. Of their profits, the company gives back a generous portion of sales year after year to help local charities, and is developing a program for 2017 that will match employee contributions to any legitimate registered charity in the United States.

Employee morale is high due to the benefits the company culture grants. For positions that allow one, flexible work schedules are put in place. Health and wellness is promoted by the company paying for gym memberships for all of its office personnel. Lavish holiday parties for the entire company, top sales performers dinners, and company picnics are a just few events that employees can celebrate their hard work.

It is the culture that has allowed Window Nation to become the 6th largest home improvement company, Window Nation was named Dealer of the Year for its use of social media to help best service customers by Window & Door Magazine in 2015, yearly recognition from Angie’s List for customer service excellence and being one of the top 10 window and door dealers in the U.S. by Door and Window Market.
